Asset Data Coordinator
Our electricity network spans between the Waimakariri and Rakaia rivers and stretches from Banks Peninsula to the foot of Arthur’s pass. Building, maintaining and operating this network in a safe and reliable way is vital to ensure our community receives a safe and resilient supply of energy into the future.
To deliver the above we need to have a detailed and thorough understanding of all the assets that make up the network and this is where this role comes in. The Asset Data Coordinator is responsible for maintaining up to date information about Orion’s electrical network assets across various asset databases and GIS systems. There is a strong focus on safety, accuracy and meeting the needs of customers.
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for data and ensuring information is up to date and accurate. Naturally organised and with a keen eye for detail you possess the ability to learn new programmes and systems including geospatial network models and asset databases. While the role is data and technology focused, communication and the ability to build customer focused relationships is a must.
In addition you will have:
the ability to interpret as-built documentation and drawings
experience in general administration, including record management
an analytical mind-set with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
excellent computer skills including word, excel
a passion for teamwork and a strong customer focus
a desire to seek continual improvement
- experience in the electricity industry would be well regarded.
