This is a leadership role, focused on understanding business needs and opportunities and translating them into optimal technical solutions consistent with our strategic direction.
The Solutions Development Manager leads a small team of developers in the review, planning, development and implementation of fit-for-purpose IT solutions that are customer focused, coordinated and aligned with Orion’s strategy. While the Solutions Development team sits in the Information Solutions business unit, it actively consults and collaborates with key stakeholders across the business to ensure optimal service delivery.
In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service and champion continuous improvement in an environment that promotes and values innovation and smart solutions.
You will lead your team in engaging with key stakeholders to deliver your objectives in a collaborative, respectful manner. Your interpersonal skills and your ability to build strong internal networks will be key to your success.
In addition you will have:
at least 5 years in an IT leadership role in a corporate environment
significant experience in a software development, business analyst or project management role which included the specification and design of information systems, vendor / contractor management, project management of systems and application development
- A relevant tertiary qualification as well as experience in electricity distribution or a related industry will be well regarded
