Pricing Compliance Analyst


 

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Pricing Compliance Analyst reporting to our Pricing Manager. This role is critical to making sure how we price, and how we report is robust and innovative. It’s exciting times in the energy sector, and it’s important we get it right. This role ensures our pricing, reporting, regulatory compliance and data is of the highest level. If you love modelling, numbers and looking at ways we can enhance what we do, you’ll love this role.

The role

  • Ensure pricing and regulatory compliance by preparing, validating and maintaining data and related documentation
  • Prepare pricing analytics for pricing categories and monitor other distributors’ pricing and pricing developments
  • Produce customer connection number forecasting for AMP through model development and liaising with the connections and planning teams
  • Perform various revenue and volume analysis
  • Prepare annual reports, work books and calculations for regulatory audits while also developing and maintaining an audit plan
  • Support the implementation of new pricing strategies while collating historical data, cost allocations and industry trends

About you

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a relevant tertiary degree in Commerce, Mathematics or Economics
  • Be highly motivated, curious and open to new ways of doing things, so you’ll need to think outside the box
  • Advanced understanding of commercial principles and attention to detail when producing high-quality modelling and data analysis
  • Knowledge of the New Zealand regulatory environment and how it applies to the electricity industry will be an advantage
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and complex environment across various cross-functional teams
